COALITION DESCRIPTION AND MISSION

Since its establishment in 1994, Healthy York County Coalition (HYCC) has worked to bring together stakeholders from across the community and to unite them in efforts to better York County.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Healthy York County Coalition is an ongoing citizen effort to improve the quality of life for those who live, work and play in York County. This effort will include:

• Collaborative Participation
• Development and Implementation
  of a Comprehensive Plan
• Development of Community
  Problem-Solving Capacity
• Measurable Outcomes

YORK COUNTS

After more than two years of work, we are pleased to present the results of YorkCounts – a research undertaking that sheds light on our community and provides insight on where our region may be headed in the future.  We hope that this document will be used as a resource for information about York County and a planning tool for government, businesses, schools, community and faith-based organizations and the public.

YorkCounts is an effort to build on what we have accomplished – it is an opportunity to identify and launch new initiatives – and it is a baseline from which to track our progress.
